Chief Technology Officer and Head of Information Technology, City of San Leandro

Tony Batalla is the Chief Technology Officer for the City of San Leandro, California. He has helped launch 5G broadband public-private partnerships; a citywide IoT network; a free, public Wi-Fi network; and developed San Leandro’s Smart City Strategy. He oversees all aspects of technology and innovation, including infrastructure, service delivery, security, and data management and acts as the senior advisor to City Council on technology policy. He has authored blueprints on Public Wi-Fi and Municipal IoT. Tony holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BS from the University of San Francisco.
