Huter is director of the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) and a research associate at the University of Oregon. He has worked with thousands of network engineers, scientists, and Internet technology developers in more than 100 countries to help build Internet infrastructure and establish international partnerships in support of research and education.
Building on the relationships established over the years, Huter helps cultivate a community of technical professionals on a global scale to train indigenous network engineers who enable continuous progress for expanding the Internet into new areas, with a focus on affordable access. In 2014, he was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame as a Global Connector.
