Michael Liang is the Chief Information Officer for the San Francisco Public Library. His team is responsible for providing Information Technology support for library staff and public patrons. The Library system serves 1.5 million visitors annually and provides high speed wired and wireless connectivity to 30 branches and service locations. Previously, Michael worked for the State of California at the Department of Transportation or Caltrans, Office of Systems Integration, and was a gubernatorial appointee at the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency. He was also part of the California Broadband Task Force. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California.
