Morgan, PhD is a Senior Computer Scientist at Information Science Institute (ISI) Networking and Cybersecurity Division at the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering. Morgan moved to ISI from Florida International University where she was the Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Internet Augmented Research and Assessment (CIARA www.ciara.fiu.edu ). Morgan’s research area is the development and operation of high-performance, international, wide-area submarine cable networks that support research and education collaborations between the US and Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. Her team has implemented a production SDN network of 630G capacity that connects exchange points in Brazil, Chile, Panama, Puerto Rico, and others to the AMPATH International Exchange Point for Research & Education in Miami at the NAP of the Americas.
