Darriya Starr is a research associate at the PPIC Higher Education Center and researches K–12 education policy at PPIC. Her recent work focuses on the digital divide, pandemic-related stimulus funds given to educational institutions, student loan repayment, families’ work-life balance during the pandemic, and child care subsidies. Prior to joining PPIC, she worked as a researcher at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government’s Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Foundation, the Harvard University Economics Department, and the Harvard University Institute of Politics. She holds a Master of Science degree in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University.
