Rachelle Chong

Rachelle Chong is a national regulatory communications expert, and a solo legal practitioner and lobbyist. A policy geek, she served as a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission. She is the "Mother of CASF", the CPUC's California Advanced Services Fund program. She has served as Chair of SHLB plus Board Service. She has worked at the California Technology Dept., as Special Counsel and assisted the statewide Middle Mile BB Project as VP Gov't Affairs for GoldenStateNet. She now sits on the board of DigitalLIFT and two fiber providers, and serves as outside counsel to the California Emerging Technology Fund. She holds a law degree from UC College of the Law, San Francisco and a BS from UC Berkeley (Political Science/Journalism).
