Matt Hughes has worked for the California State University system for 20 years, both at the campus and system levels. He currently serves as Senior Technology Strategist and Network Architect for the CSU Office of the Chancellor, where his time is split between guiding the Common Network Initiative, a shared service that provides network hardware, maintenance, support, and training to the 23 CSU campuses, and leading efforts to advance the CSU AI Strategy, including the largest rollout of ChatGPT in higher education. Matt enjoys all things technology, from microcontrollers and LoRa mesh networks to 3D printing, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
