Kirk McGregor started his career as a freelance grant writer supporting research and development grants at his alma mater, UC Davis, after he graduated in 2012 in conjunction with continuing undergraduate research and thesis project mentorship. As a result of such work over a decade, Kirk helped several start-up and university spin-off companies find initial federal R&D funding and sustainable workforce development pipelines, one of which led to the formation of Iff technologies, for which he continues to support as its Chief Strategy Officer. To aid in its efforts of immunoprotein analysis and modeling, Iff Technologies continues its growth into computationally innovative bioinformatics and biomolecular structural reconstruction spaces, including quantum algorithmics, computational quantum chemistry modeling, HPC & data center innovations, and cryoEM facilities, and has pushed the company to explore quantum networking as a possible solution for combining all of these business developments across multiple UC campuses.
