Jim Morris is a telecom product and business leader with deep experience spanning IP, optical transport, dark fiber, and enterprise connectivity. He helped drive PPPoE at UUNET, then at Broadwing developed the industry’s first commercial wavelength offering and the Multi Connect DS1/DS3 hub product, which won a Frost & Sullivan Product of the Year award. Later, his work on the FCC’s Business Data Services review helped demonstrate that cable operators were meaningfully competing with ILECs, supporting the policy shift that led to deregulation of many BDS services. Across roles at companies including Broadwing, CenturyLink, Zayo, GTT, FastWyre, and GoldenStateNet, he has built products, shaped pricing strategy, influenced regulation, and turned complex network capabilities into commercially successful offerings.
