Gerard currently services as Chief Information Officer for California State University, San Bernardino. He joined the CSUSB as Associate Vice President for Technology Operations and Customer Support in 2014, and assumed the role as Deputy CIO and Chief Information Security Officer in 2019. He oversees all aspects of Information Technology at CSUSB including technology operations, enterprise application, digital transformation, information security, and research computing. In his previous role as director of information technology and chief information officer at UCLA School of Nursing, Gerard supported over $41M of funded research from FY2010-13 and provided leadership to large-scale IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, cloud services migration and electronic health records implementation.
