Christopher Bruton (he/him) is a Network Architect at CENIC, California’s Research and Education (R&E) network. Christopher works on routing security initiatives (RPKI and MANRS) and supports high-performance networking and computing for CENIC’s member associates through projects such as FABRIC, the National Research Platform (NRP), and SENSE/AutoGOLE. Christopher is also the Director of Network Infrastructure for the Pacific Wave International Research and Education Exchange Project, a distributed Internet Exchange operated jointly by CENIC and the Pacific Northwest Gigapop (PNWGP). Christopher previously worked on earthquake monitoring networks at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Alaska Earthquake Center. He has a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from the University of Calgary. Christopher currently lives in Pasadena, California.
