Amanda is the Technology Engagement Manager at the Ventura County Library, where she has been supervising the department employees and working on the Library’s many IT projects and services for over five years. She has over 30 years of IT experience in various fields, including work in the education and corporate sectors. Amanda has recently written and submitted successful grant applications for the Ventura County Library, including a California Library Connect broadband grant to upgrade the technology infrastructure at the E.P. Foster Library and a grant to implement Open+ Express Hours at the Fillmore Library. She oversees the Library’s Category 1 and 2 E-Rate applications annually and the CalREN connection through CENIC under contract with ICOE. Amanda managed VCL’s 2023 migration to their new ILS and coordinated all technology components of the recent Fillmore Library Expansion project. She was recently selected as one of the Ventura County staff highlighted during Women’s History Month for mentoring young girls in STEAM.
