CENIC
Tom DeFanti, PhD, is a Special Advisor, Research Networks for CENIC, and a recall research scientist at the University of California, San Diego, as well as a distinguished professor emeritus of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received the 1988 ACM Outstanding Contribution Award, was appointed an ACM Fellow in 1994, and received the SIGGRAPH Outstanding Service Award in 2000. He is also a Fellow of the International Engineering Consortium. Since he moved to San Diego 20 years ago, he has been active in CENIC and received several CENIC technical awards
