San Diego County Library
Ohr is Deputy Director over Communities, Strategy, and Technology at the award-winning, San Diego County Library, Gale/Library Journal’s Library of the Year, 2012-2013. Ohr engineered San Diego County Library’s paradigm shift to the “Library of the Future,” which involved RFID conversion of the collection, installation of self-checks and Automated Material Handling (AMH) systems, and creating bookstore-style popular browsing areas. She led the building, expansion, and renovation of over $30 million in library building projects that contributed to the San Diego County Library's inclusion in Library Journal's Year in Architecture in 2011. Currently, she is leading SDCL through another era of change and efficiencies around a new Integrated Library System (ILS), a central AMH, and redesigning bookmobile services. Ohr is also passionate about bringing broadband to rural communities and increasing educational opportunities for the disproportionately served.
